Training with Able Learning

Able4Enterprise™ was launched in September 2009 as a specialised training organisation delivering both accredited and bespoke training programmes specifically designed for clients with a learning disability, developed by a team of specialised training providers who are themselves disadvantaged and support wholeheartedly the Governments strategy “Making it happen for everyone”

We at Able4Enterprise believe long-term employment for all is the best route out of poverty; that is why Able4Enterprise™ exists to change people's lives for the better. With our close links to employers, we help people find fulfilling careers by giving them the skills, confidence, and knowledge they need. Operating nationally with our Head office based in North East Lincolnshire our partners include the Learning & Skills Councils, Prime Providers, CIEH, Colleges and a variety of businesses both local and national. Together we strive to develop enhanced provision and services to public and private sector organisations, clients, and individuals both employed and unemployed by maximising funding opportunities. Funded opportunities are complemented by a wide range of organisational development programmes, short course, and executive coaching and bespoke training packages.

Able’s mission is to establish itself as a prominent provider of quality ‘work readiness’ learning for the disabled what ever their disability. Able will be recognised by its’ endeavours as a deliverer of ‘fit for purpose’ products and services, capable of effectively meeting and responding to any disability requirement, the business characteristics are dynamic, customer led and responsive, i.e. ‘fleet of foot’, to enable rapid change and development to meet the growing need.

People with learning disabilities are entitled to the same aspirations and life chances as other people. This is the vision and expectation which the Government first set out in Valuing People in 2001. But although we have made real progress, there is still a lot to do – and that is why we are restating our commitment to leading change to transform people’s lives and opportunities. This Government is determined to deliver equality and independent living for all disabled people, as we made clear in our cross-Government report, improving the Life Chances of Disabled People in 2005. Moreover, we recognise that people with learning disabilities are among the groups most often excluded from society. That is why we have made it a priority across government to support more people with learning disabilities into real jobs and settled homes
