Health and Safety Training
Good health and safety practice makes good management sense. The cost in terms of lost working days, litigation or prosecution can be extremely bad for business. According to the Health and Safety Executive, in 2008/09 an estimated 30 million working days were lost in the UK through work-related ill health or injury. Sadly deaths and serious injuries are still commonplace. Yet so much can be avoided with just basic training.
CIEH Level 1 Awards
Health and Safety in the Workplace Level 1
The CIEH Level 1 Award in Health and Safety is an accessible qualification to all workers which will change the way companies consider health and safety. The short course provides an outline of the basics of health and safety that will protect both the candidate and their fellow workers in all areas of employment.

Health and Safety in the Workplace Level 2
The CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety is designed to ensure that all employees are aware of their own safety and the safety of customers, contractors and the general public. The course expands upon the basics of health and safety that will protect both the candidate and their fellow workers in all areas of employment.
Health and Safety in Health and Social Care
Based on the first part of the CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace – an introduction to health and safety adapted for health and social care – and the CIEH Level 2 Award in Hygiene, this qualification provides candidates with a good understanding and knowledge of health and safety in the health and social care sector.
Hygiene in Health and Social Care
In the UK over a million people are employed as carers and millions more provide informal care and support for relatives and friends. The Department of Health has drawn up a code of practice acknowledging that everyone involved in care provision needs training to tackle the risk of Health Care Acquired Infection (HCAI).

The Award in First Aid At Work, accredited by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) ensure skill, knowledge and build up confidence to enable the first aider to deal with any emergency, which may occur within their workplace.
