CIEH Level 2 Health and Safety in Health and Social Care
Course Suitability
The CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in Health and Social Care has been developed in order to provide employees with a good understanding and knowledge of health and safety in the health and social care setting.
The Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in Health and Social Care builds upon the programme of Health and Safety training provided by the CIEH, which includes the CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety.
Training Overview
Based on the first part of the CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace – an introduction to health and safety adapted for health and social care – and the CIEH Level 2 Award in Hygiene, this qualification provides candidates with a good understanding and knowledge of health and safety in the health and social care sector.
Course Content
The Level 2 Health and Safety in Health and Social Care course has been developed to enable employees to work safely and effectively in roles within the health and social care industries.
The training course will cover the following topics:
- Legislation
- Health
- Safety
- Welfare
- Hygiene awareness
- Hygiene hazards
- Personal hygiene
- Cleaning
Assessment
The Health and Safety in Health and Social Care Level 2 Award is knowledge-based and will be assessed by means of an external assessment. Each unit is marked by means of a multiple choice examination.
This course is QCA (Qualifications and Curriculum Authority) Accredited.
Course Duration
The CIEH Level 2 Health and Safety in Health and Social Care is run as a full day training course.
